• Lost seat of MPA as an independent candidate in elections 1985

• joined NPP in 1986

• Left NPP in 1988 as he was not awarded MPA ticket and rejoined PPP

• MPA in 1988 on PPP ticket

• MPA in 1993 on PPP ticket

• Remained transport minister during 1995-96

• Elected MPA in 1997

• Left main stream politics due to condition of graduation

• Joined PML-Q and brought forward his son Eng Ali Nawaz Brohi who lost MPA elections in 2002 and 2007.

• His bother Khan Mohammed Brohi, remained member of zila council and Nazim UC Jhoro Sher.

• His younger brother Pir Bux also remained member of zila council.
