SAIF BANVI is poet, activist, and journalist
Full NAME is Mohammed Rahim (SaifBanvi)
born on 21st june, 1944,at Banno,(Thatta) Primary education at bannond secondry
education in Gvernment High School Thatta,Noor Mohd High School
Hyderabad nd D.C.High School Saeedpur near Talhar Distt Badin,9 at
that time it was distt hyderabad). Did matric in 1962 in second
division and appointedsecondry teacher in 1962. Served in various high
schools nd left the job1972. did two year of honours course in
english literature as a regular student at sindh universty jamshoro
1972 to 1974.
From 1974 to 1976 worked as manager wafai printing
press pakistan chowk Karachi, being the only sindhi press in Karachi
at that time.
In 1976 joined Daily Sindh News Hyderabad, as a
sub-editor under the editorship of Mr Shaikh Aziz. Since then have
been working in variuos urdu nd sindhi dalies.

Political affiliation with Communist Party of Pakistan and
off'shoots.
Joind SNSF in days of universty life. started poetry in
early age mid-50,I was used to compose poetry with the help nd
inspiration of my great father ,based on folk stories like SASSUI
PUNHO nd UMAR MARVE, nd present the same in regular meetings of
sindhi adabi sangat being held on every sundy in our school under the
guidance of our english teacher Late Saqi Sujamali who was a great
writter his own days. In mid-50 my poetry was published almost in
every issue of (ROOH REHAN) a literary magzine of that time, Now a
